Stonehenge
Catching your first glimpse of Stonehenge you will appreciate why it has been awarded World Heritage Site status. Having been on this site for over 5000 years, Stonehenge is the most visited prehistoric site in the world. Many different theories surround the 40 tonnes of rock on Salisbury Plain, some believe it was a religious temple, others it was an astronomical clock, or maybe even a Bronze Age burial ground! What ever your belief, no trip to England is complete without a visit to this mighty monument!

Stonehenge has a fantastic up-to-date visitor experience. The visitor centre includes a museum housing permanent and temporary exhibitions, large shop and inviting cafe. You'll learn more about Stonehenge from the fascinating exhibits and be able to enjoy a virtual sunrise as it rises over the prehistoric stones.
