Salisbury Cathedral

Standing at an amazing height of 123 metres (404ft) the spire of Salisbury Cathedral is the tallest in England. Built some 800 years ago the revolutionary spire is considered one of the leading examples of Early English Gothic architecture. Once inside you will marvel at the newest addition to the cathedral, a beautifully sculpted font designed by William Pye. Explore inside The Chapter House which is home to one of the four only remaining copies of The Magna Carta, and Europe’s oldest working clock, dating back to 1386.

Stepping off the coach on Salisbury Plain, you will be greeted by the awesome sight of spectacular Stonehenge. Mammoth rocks rising out of the ground create the famous stone circle, which for over 5,000 years has had the world asking themselves many questions. Was it a burial ground? Was it a religious temple? Maybe, during your visit you will unlock the secrets of this unique landmark.

"On our last day we took the day tour to Salisbury, Stonehenge and Bath. From the time we stepped on the coach, Simon our guide, done everything possible to make our day extra special. There is alot of travelling, but its all worth it, to see such beautiful, historic buildings. Our favourite is the City of Bath - Stunning, just wish we had spent the day there!"

Five stars D.Pike - Canada - 02/01/2020

" Tour was really good. Tour guide "Su" was super sweet and very knowledgeable. A very good experience. The only thing I didn't like is the bus, the bus seats are very close to each other, so we get very less space to move our legs."

Five stars P. Naik - India - 06/11/2019
